Some of Unaweep's best bouldering. This area has been recently developed, and a lot of great problems have popped up within the past year.

Head up the hill, through the fence (make sure you close the cowboys gate, since there are cows around). Follow the trail up and to the left, eventually coming to a Y in the trail. At this point, if you go right, you'll head straight up to the Bat Caves bouldering area, but if you go to the left, across a field, you'll eventually hit the main area. About 10 minutes to get there from the pullout....

A lot of the problems are in the shade after about 2 or 3 p.m., and make sure you bring water!!

Getting There

Western Colorado, South of Grand Junction between Whitewater and Gateway along CO Hwy 141. From Boulder take I-70 West to US Hwy 50 in Grand Junction towards Ouray (Delta, Montrose). Turn right on CO 141 and follow it into the Canyon. The pullout is exactly 1.3 miles into the canyon as soon as you hit CO 141. The pullout for this area is to the right in front of a bridge. There is also some kind of manufacturing business directly across the road and the Chief Boulders are also directly across the road up the hill.

Didn't see this gorgeous, crimpy face in the book or on here, but it's definitely worth some time! It's roughly on the opposite side of the rock from Mono Pocket Rocket.

Sounds good, and best of luck, Brad! Definitely not my problem though. I saw a few people send it a few years ago, way before I could drag my butt around that lip ;). Don't remember their names, I think they were from the Rifle or Roaring Fork area? Anyway, I thought it was a good one, and thought it deserves some love!
