| I'm gonna be in the neighborhood, and I reckon I'll be thirsty. Steiner's Buffalo/Vegas works for me. I also tend to get hungry early, so I'll probably be there by 6:00. Who's in? | FLAG |

| I'll be there, that is, if I'm not stuck in a hole somewhere.
For anyone that misses a beer night after saying they're coming had better have a good excuse. ; ) Here's one of mine- true story. I actually did miss one MP beer night that I had said I was going to from falling into a deep mess of tangled vines in Panamint City, Death Valley. I was greeted by a dead burro leg sticking up out of the mess of vines (right in my fuc*in' face) and I screamed because it was pretty nasty. I actually cried for a second, I love burros, and I had never experienced something like that before. It was such a long pain in the ass getting myself out of the deep vines, plus I was worried that there might have been a Panamint rattler, or two swimming in there, not that there was anything wrong with that. ; ) Anyhoot, that's what I get for taking a "short-cut", as we were hurrying, and hoping to make it back in Vegas in time for the beer night. Another wrench thrown into missing that beer night after our hike, is being waved down by some stranded gold miners that had worked all day in summer temps, and were in need of help. We gave them a ride to Panamint Springs, as their vehicle broke down in the remote desert. Let the Red Rock climbing season begin! See you all at Beer Night! Visiting climbers are welcome to come too! Woohoo! | FLAG |

| Wish I could. Sounds like work will intrude on my ability to regale Scott with boring stories of climbing, women, and my complete and total inability to out-drink anyone above the age of 12. Will you guys do me a favor and complain about sport climbers and hit on everyone's girlfriends for me? Thanks, I want to feel like I'm making a difference... | FLAG |

| I'm working Vampire shifts beginning of the week, so won't be able to make it. Have Fun! Matt and I were talking a few weeks back, was thinking it would be exciting to have a climbers beer night at someone's house. Beer, Appetizers, Food, etc. What are all ya'll thoughts? | FLAG |

| Hmm. We're thinking about it, Rob. : ) It would be awesome to be able to BYOB and food to share, especially our favorite creations, and drinks of choice. Good for climbers who might be on a tight budget too- drinking and eating at a pub can be expensive. Re: John, and I as hosts; If we do decide to go forward with it, (it's up to John) the house, although not huge would fit the bill- it has a nice sized backyard for grilling, and hanging out, a gynormous amount of guide books and maps to browse through, and converse over, a great selection of music, a wide street to park along, and best of all, no creepy home owner association rules, or problemsome neighbors. Location is decent in it's proximity to Red Rock- fast access via the 215 from RR. Another plus is that we're night owls, so no worries of late arrival folks who might want to stop by after work. Anyone else "thinking about it?" I'd volunteer to help the host(s) clean up after any climbers' beer nights that I'm attending. Edit to clarify: if we host, it'll be sometime in November, not this October 17th Beer Night. : ) | FLAG |

| I'm looking forward to the beer night at Steiners next week. Like Gigi said, we are considering hosting a beer night at our home. We might shoot for next month, perhaps November 21, the day before Thanksgiving. That has been a good date in the past for beer night as there seems to be a lot of climbers in town for that holiday weekend. | FLAG |

| If you do it at someone's house, I'll send some climbing DVD's with Greg for the gang, provided you are interested in watching and he's willing to carry them. I've done that a few times here and people seemed to like it. | FLAG |

| Everyone is welcome, including Coloradans. While the usual discussions of climbing are quite acceptable, references to The Stand are highly encouraged, especially when it comes to local climbing comparisons (since there is no comparison). Just sayin'... From my count, with a few other folks that will be coming with me, we should have at least 5 states represented. | FLAG |

| Jonny, Mo, Rob, and I, and maybe a couple of others have been known to stay later than the rest. Some show up at 6pm for the Happy Hour and leave before 9pm but those of us who habitually show up later to MP beer nights (7-ish),and/ or lovin' the brew, and climber talk are usually the later leavers. | FLAG |

| Well, looks like it will be a good turn-out for tonight. We've been spreading the word to climbers we see out at Red Rock. Funny how no one we talk to has heard about the beer night, but once we fill them in, they seem pretty interested. Maybe we should post a sign out at the campground next time? And on that note, maybe we could pay for a group site and have beer night out at the campground sometime? What's the worst that can happen? | FLAG |
