This is a small crag facing Round Pond.... A great collection of crack climbs of different grades.... The best ones are Lakeside Jam (5.7), and China Dragon (5.10).... This cliff is often overlooked by the hoards of people at the upper and lower cliffs.... Top ropes are easily set from pine trees at the top of the cliff....
From the Lower Slabs, walk right along the cliff picking up a trail leading along the marsh to Round Pond...After walking through some boulders and you can see the pond turn left and you are there....

On the left side of the cliff, there is a slabby face with cracks and holds making for an easy beginner route.... When I'm guiding and folks are having a hard time with the slippery climbs at the lower slab, I throw a rope down this and it gives them an easy way to make progress and learn a little about slab technique and cracks at the same time.......[more] Browse More Classics in NH
