Description Suggest change

Green with sunny aspects (rock available on East, West and South faces) and whopper views towards Piz Palü and Piz Bernina across the street, Lagalb is the major crag in this area.

6 sectors with nearly 70 routes to choose from. Beginner friendly 3a to 8b. Stacks of routes in the 5 and 6 range.

Limestone. Mostly dark, steep limestone. And friendly cows. With bells. Pastoral.

Getting There Suggest change

Downhill 4.8km towards Potrisina and St. Moritz from Bernina Pass (2328m) on route 29.

Lagalb is a stop on the popular Bernina Railway.

Located southwest of the rocky hill summit of Piz Alv (2975m).

Park at the Curtinatch Gondola Lift Station (access to Piz Lagalb) parking lot just east of the crag on the north side of the road (same as the crag). A short 5 minute walk from the west end of the parking lot to the rock.

Take care to not walk on the meadow grasses on the approach/egress.
