Description located on the N/NW face of sports challenge rock, this 30 ft traverse begins on the right side in a wide vertical crack. move right to left on a variation of hold types and finish at the big flake (Lobster Lieback)
Protection pad...and a buddy to move it. however, the traverse is not far off the ground.

| The Kirkatron Traverse was first done by I believe John Bachar. It more or less starts at the Lobster Lieback, which is about 10ft left of the start of Leave it to Beaver, and just right of the lone pine tree. It finishes at the wide crack that is Championship Wrestling. There are many ways and height levels in which to do this problem. All are somewhat hard and these days the holds can be quite polished. A great plus to this problem is that it will for a while, stay dry when it rains so you can get your pump on while all the rest of the quasi hardmen are hanging out at the Crossroads waiting on their herbal tea. This problem can be done left to right or right to left, with left to right being a bit easier in my opinion. Don't be shy of busting a funky move here and there, perhaps slotting an odd hand jam, or using some slick knee bar action for possible for rests. |
