Description Suggest change

Easy access. Clean rock. Toprope paradise. King Phillip's Spring Wall is split into a left and right side, split by a gully that serves as the approach trail. Adirondack Rock reports one route on each side but also indicates there are plenty of other options as the rock on both sides is clean with good friction and cracks. The tops of both sides are easily reached from the top of the gully before it descends to the base of the cliff. Some gear and static rope/webbing is needed for setting TRs as trees are not readily available near the edge of the cliff.

Getting There Suggest change

From exit 30 turn onto route 9 heading north (towards Lake Placid). Immediately, there is a large pulloff on the left, often with a food truck guy there. Park. Follow a flat wide trail that angles back toward the highway before curving right and climbing up and then down a gully that splits the two sides of the cliff. Easy hiking. 15 mintues.
