Description
Kiliak Wall is a beautiful area with generally decent rock and fantastic views. The wall is south facing and gets sun for most of the day, a plus when climbing in the spring or fall. The routes here tend to be well protected and moderately graded.
Getting There
Drive to Eagle River and head to the end of Eagle River Road. Park at the Eagle River Nature Center ($5 parking Fee) and start hiking down the main Crow Pass Trail. After 5-10 min you will come to an intersection with the Crow Pass trail heading right and the Dew Mound Trail going left. Go Left and take the Dew Mound Trail for about two miles or until you come to a group of obvious large boulders (Frostbite Boulders). After walking past the largest boulders cut left on a faint climbers trail, sometimes marked by a small cairn. Take this trail up hill following a few cairns to the base of the wall. The approach should take 45-60 min from the car.
