DescriptionA nice short wall slightly overhanging with routes from 5.10c to 5.12b... great quality for the most part and fun moves... Not as pumpy as some of the super long walls... For those of us who have good technical skills but get pumped on some of those endless pump fests this might be a good place to regain confidence... Getting ThereFollow the gravel road to the bottom of the hill... Follow the river down strem till the crossing and follow signs toward The Sanctuary you will see a sign for the Indy Wall directing you to the left of The Sanctuary...

Makin' Bacon 5.10d KY : Red River Gorge : Indy wall
Start on the giant hueco/undercling to make a long, somewhat bouldery move. From here, an enduro-crimp fest awaits. Short, and not all that pumpy unless crimps aren't your thing. One tricky move near the top to (you guessed it) a small crimp. Awesome movement and cool holds. Good technical skills will get you through this one just fine....[more] |
