Description 

This area just recently reopened and had a trail face lift. Kawamata is an area with a high concentration of quality routes on nice Limestone. The rock ranges from steep to less than vertical. Routes range from 5.9 to 5.13. There are seven main areas to Kawamata. There are over 100 sport routes here.


Getting There 

From Tokyo by car take 5 to Ome, then veer right on 411. Turn right on 53 and follow 53 to Shimonaguri.
