Description

Start on a boulder and go up the orange face. The crux is at the bottom. It feels like a boulder problem, once you clip the first bolt and top out onto the slabby part its all 5.6ish to the top. There is a little bulge after the second bolt so you can't see the next bolt or ancors, but once you pull over it you can see them.

Location

About half way between stumbling blocks and Mt. Gorgeous on the left side as you're heading up.

Protection

4 bolts to a biner and an open shut.

Clipping at the first bolt. I would definitely recommend getting to that handhold above the first bolt before clipping.

The worn carabiner on the left anchor is gone, so it was just a bolt with a trapped chainlink (that wouldn't take a typical carabiner, or let the rope be passed through).

We put a quick link on it.

The left bolt of the belay anchor consists of an aluminum carabiner trapped in a chain link. Top ropers have worn a groove 2/3 of the way through this biner. There is no other way to use this bolt than to clip the worn biner. It is dangerous and should be replaced! Bring a hacksaw and some quick links.

Feels like a mix between a boulder problem and a sport climb!

Does anyone have a name/FA info for the route just to the right of this one which shares the anchors of this route.

I agree with the 5.8 rating, it's now been listed as "Born on the 4th of July".
