It looked like there was an accident yesterday. The road was closed entirely with lots of emergency vehicles and what looked like every ranger in the park. Anyone know what happened? Hoping everyone is ok...

The Hall of Horrors accident was last year.

We saw it driving out and cruised through lot. Didn't ask, but saw a bunch of rescue people and a female climber, uninjured but leaning over with her hands on her knees and an understandable "'oh my god" look.

The rescue folks were casual, and another nearby group of climbers was hanging casually in the lot and looking pretty unshaken or just relieved that there was no fatality. We figured something went down that was not as severe as it might have looked at first.... crossing my fingers they are ok.

My friends and I were climbing at Playhouse when it happened. We saw all the commotion as we were walking back to the parking lot. They were saying he fell 30 ft. and all his placements fell out, and that his gf was belaying him.

Hope he's doing ok.

Hope they are road to recovery. Any word folks?
