Description

This fairly large boulder is home to many great problems as well as the classic JBMFP (V5). The north face is the taller, more prominent face that can be seen from the road, but the west face has a number of fun off-vertical problems as well.

Getting There

Walk north past the massive False Up 20 Boulder to reach this boulder - the first problem you'll encounter is the sloping arete of True Grit (V3+).

JBMFP V5  CA : Joshua Tree National Park : ... : JBMF Boulder

Depending on how tall you are there are a few different starting holds, but thin holds are the name of the game on this problem. Don't breath too hard as you might blow yourself off the crux, but as you hit that last hold with your right hand, rest assured that the final throw for the lip might look far but that hold is huge!...[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
