Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

Shady and more windswept describe this side of the formation where a couple of short but challenging 5.10 routes await.

Getting There

Park in a nearby turnout and circle around the north side of the formation where a little scrambling leads to the base. Plan on five minutes or less for the approach.
