Details
Climbing at The Pond, Atlantis and Mine Area are private property, and now requires that you register in order to gain legal access. This is an easy process. You can do this at: queencreekclimbing.com/.
This is a one-time and free process so once you are registered you are good to go.
You can read more about this process and the announcement at the Queen Creek Coalition website – theqcc.com or the Queen Creek Coalition’s Facebook page – facebook.com/Queen-Creek-Co…

Description
Pretty serious lead. The pro is tricky through the tough first 1/2, and the leader must be aware of the possible looseness of the large block looming over the left side of the climb. I highly suggest the belayer keep right, and the leader not jam or place pro under the block. There is excellent pro just under and over it. It seems solid now, but with the mining activity who knows. It's only 5.7 climbing around the block.
The line I took traverses left under the block (it seems solid until you round the corner) then up. I suggest going up over the block then right (there is pro above the block), or you can climb the gully.
