Description Suggest change

This is a class 4 gully between Orangutan Buttress to its left, and the Garden of Eden to its right. The belayer's right-hand side of the gully includes two bolted routes, Man of Science (5.12 c/d) and the Problem (5.12a).

In the mythical history of Stover, the Great Zawn is the scene of the first recorded ascent in the mid-eighteenth century, and still haunted by its first pair of climbers.

Getting There Suggest change

The Great Zawn itself is sometimes used to scramble between the parking lot above, and the belay level below. It is along the belay trail between Orangutan Buttress and the Garden of Eden.
