The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Climb juggy patina plates and edges up a bulging face to about two-thirds height where the rock changes color and the holds get much smaller and worse.
Work your feet up as high as possible as you hold onto sloping grains and aim for a visible depression at the lip.
Downclimb off the backside.
