Description

Highest mountain in Wales (and England) and a very popular destination with hikers, and people who ride the train up from Llanberis.

In cold and heavy snow years there are some great winter gullies on its north east face.

The Snowdon Horseshoe is a classic and famous ridge traverse.

Getting There

The Horseshoe and standard route both start at Pen-Y-Pass trailhead. This is the most popular starting point.
