Warning Stainless-steel bolts are suspect near the coast. A rebolting effort is underway. MORE INFO >>>

Description

This route is the first route right of the Freedom Bar and climbs up under the metal ladder. About half of the climbing is horizontal, but with the huge shelf under the roof it does not feel like it. Start up off of the sand and climb up past a clip and into a shelf to the left under the end of the roof--crawl and crouch out towards the end of the roof and towards a big stalactite. When the shelf disappears, crawl out off of it and onto a few holds and move towards the end of the roof. Large holds decrease the difficulty of what would without these and the big shelf to come out from under the roof--otherwise this would be quite a difficult the route. As it stands, it is pretty easy but pretty neglected.

Location

Step off of the Freedom Bar porch and go right under the ladder a few steps right. This is the left-most route on the Ton Sai Roof wall, though many people might not even realize that the route is there…

Protection

A few bolts and a few slings. Shorter people might find the awkward clips and cruxes.
