This area is new for Mountain Project, and is just getting started. Feel free to contribute!

Tonsai Bay located on the western side of the peninsula and north of Railay West.

Getting There

The most "posh" resort on Tonsai is Tonsai Bay Resort. The rooms will set you back about $50 US per night during high season. This is very expensive by local standards but will come with beds, an air conditioner, and a shower with occasional hot water. Our room was about 100 yards from the beach. The person who manages the resort is very friendly and his English is excellent. The resort has a restaurant next to Freedom Bar. There's an internet kiosk and a climbing shop right by the restaurant. The resort also has bungalows if you're interested in something a little less expensive and more rustic.
