Description

Fantastic multipitch granite domes within an ancient fortress. Y. Chouinard has a route here from the 1960's. Trad as well as super run-out sport. Mostly slab and crack climbing. Camping allowed with permit. Route maps can be found in gear shops near park entrance. Do not go on Sunday unless you want crowds.

Getting There

Entrance is on the east side of Pukhansan National Park just north of Seoul. You can get there by tube out of central Seoul, get off at the stop after seracsan at either #414 at Suyu on Line 4, or #115 Dobong on Line 1. Take a taxi from here to the park entrance. Hike up the main drainage to the crags up in the summit area. Approx 45 minute approach hike. Sport climbs found immediately after the hermitage. Multipitch routes are found soon after.
