Description

Poland is a great place to experience Eastern Europe. The country is developing at a rapid rate. So now is a wonderful time to visit. In the urban areas, it is not difficult to find any modern comfort. However, in the surrounding rural communities it is still possible to get a glimpse of the "old life". The people are friendly and proud. The cities are beautiful and historic. As far as climbing, most is in the southern regions of the country. There is a decent amount of sport climbing around Krakow and Wroclaw. But the best climbing in Poland is outside of Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains. Here you will find imposing alpine-style routes on dark granite.

Getting There

Most international flights will arrive into Warsaw. It is also possible to fly into Krakow. There are no major highways as of yet in the country, so driving does take time. The rail system can also get you to most any location.
