Reykjavik Street

Description

Iceland in February was a moonscape of white. The road was the only thing other than lava formations sticking up thru the snow changing the landscape.

Getting There

Flying to Iceland from the US was really easy, we flew from Boston, but there are daily fights from NY,(JFK), Minneapolis, and Seattle. Icelandic Air is the main carrier. http://www.icelandair.us/

Reykjavik is beautiful city situated 45 minutes from Keflavik international airport on a peninsula. We used a rental car for the climbing near by, about an hours drive. The rest of the time in the city we used our feet. The temperatures in Reykjavik was from bitter cold to a light jacket on either ends of our trip there.
