Roc seconding something we thought was about 5.10b...

Description

If your headed to Lhasa, bring a rope and several quickdraws. There is some amazing sport climbing on the granite cliffs behind the Sera Monastery. These climbs were established by a French team so they are well bolted. Bring a stopper or a removable bolt hanger for the first bolts because they are usually removed. The cliffs are visible from town looking north and they are actually east of Sera Monastery.
Check out the Small Bar in Lhasa for more directions or contact teh Tibetean Mountaneering Guide School.

Getting There

Take a cab, to the base of the cliffs (you can see them from town) at the end of Duodi Avenue. Or you can take bus # 602 towards Duodi town.
