BETA PHOTO: Pitch 1. February 2004.

Description

Pitch 1: Climb steep curtain of ice onto a large bowl filled with snow. Ascent the slope and set up a sling-tree belay on the left, below the second steep curtain of ice.

Pitch2: Climb the steep ice (crux) onto a ledge with trees. To descent, rappel the route.

Location

Drive along Hwy 11 for about 3 miles past Obsession. The climb is on the right. In deep snow we wished we had snowshoes on the approach.

Protection

ice screws, slings around trees for belay
