BETA PHOTO: Deep Cove

Description

Morning sunhit on this southwest facing cliff makes for climbing that is very cloud cover and temperature dependent. This secluded, granite crag holds over 20 ice (WI3-WI4+) and mixed lines from rolling slabs to steep pillars. Routes range from 40-80 feet tall. Lots of big trees on top for anchors. For leading, bring stubby screws as well as a few bugaboos and knifeblades.

Getting There

Drive Hwy 103 to Exit 7. Head toward Blandford and Deep Cove here on 329. Park near the intersection of 329 and Deep Cove Road. You will see the cliffband on the left heading back away from the ocean here. About 300 yards further down 329, towards Blandford, a farm road heads back into the woods on the left. Hike this forest road for about 15 min. past stacks of metal window frames and an old yellow car back to the cliff.
