Description

Halifax is the most populated area in Nova Scotia and therefore has the most climbers. The majority of climbing development is also currently in this area. Most of the roped climbing is in Musquodobit, while the bouldering is near Peggy's Cove.

Where to stay: Many hotels/motels, but the best places are to find someone in the community and crash with them. Luckily the community is still small enough that we pretty much all know each other.

Rest Days: Lots of things to do: movies, shopping, Mountain Equipment Co-op is downtown, and several gyms: Groundzero and the university walls being most popular.

Getting There

Halifax is a major city. You can fly, drive or take a ferry. The climbing/bouldering areas are pretty spread out, but we have a great community and most people have cars.
