Sherman boulder

Description

This is a great area where you can easily spend the majority of a day on the main "Sherman Boulder". This is also a nice area to boulder due to the shade provided by the mountains on those hot sunny days. This area is located in a once clear cut area so, there is not a lot of natural shade unless you are spending time in the tree boulders located along the tree line. this boulders is usually always clean and does not take a lot of time to dry. Enjoy!

Getting There

When you are on your way to Comox lake you will cross a wooden bridge over a small river. Once you pass this drive approx. 200m until you see a pull out with a large yellow gate on the left. Take the trail heading into the clear cut area and take your first left on the trail where then you will walk under a small arch like fallen tree. continue for 3-4 minutes until you see a trail heading off to the right leading to the visible "Sherman Boulder". To access the boulders on the edge of the tree line continue down the main path for another minute until you see another small path leading to the right.

good luck
