Getting There
This group is located on Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet. There is a BC Parks parking lot for the popular Joffre Lakes hiking area. Some climbing is approached from here, but most is from Cerise Creek.
The Cerise Creek approach is another 12km past the Joffre Lake parking. Turn right onto a gravel road just before Duffey Lake. This gravel road is about 6km long. Take the first fork to the right and the remaining forks to the left. There are various places to park. The final steep section of the road won't be passable without 4wd, but only cuts off about 500m. Be warned, the trees (alders) that lean over this road will badly scratch up a paint job.
You can completely avoid driving up this road by parking at a pullout on Hwy. 99 well before the turn off for the gravel road and hiking up the "winter trail". This adds a km or two of hiking, but saves your vehicle and doesn't cost that much time since it's slow going up the dirt road.
