DescriptionThe Cheam Range is a small but defined range with 8 prominent peaks crammed into a short 10 km. The peaks canm be climbed year round but the weather can be a nuisance in the area. The Cheam Range is generally not crowded unless you decide to hike the Southern Slopes of cheam Peak. The rock quality is mostly loose volcanic rock and rock-fall can be a major problem if a climb has more than one group on it, on the other hand, the Peaks are easily accessible (with a 4WD vehicle) and can be climbed in a day trip from the nearest logging road. Getting ThereAll Peaks can be climbed from nearest logging road.
