Mount Edith is a limestone peak with three summits within view of Banff. The quality of rock is quite good, with many routes reaching the summit from all sides. Their are many possibilities for day routes from a easy scramble to the top, to 300m routes on the north side.

Getting There

To get to Mount Edith, Drive west from Calgary on the Trans-Canadian Highway 15-20 Km from Canmore. Drive past the town of Banff and take your first exit off the highway. After the exit, take your first right, unto a dirt road leading to the Fireside picnic area. Take the hiking trail trail heading east from the picnic area for the aproach to the routes.
