Description

The Sandinista Wall is perhaps the best wall of the Hollow Mountain area. It offers mostly very difficult bolted climbs up highly featured overhanging rock and the classic, easier trad line Sandinista (5.11c). The other cliff classics are Malcom Matheson's Journey Through Nicaragua (5.13d), Martin Scheel's Daniel or Tiger (5.14a), and Nathan Hoette's Samosa (5.14a). Nathan has also done the obvious linkup of the last two climbs to create Sparticus (5.14b) which, for a brief time, was considered the hardest climb in Australia. It should be noted that Journey Through Nicaragua is a trad climb!

Getting There

This is the first cliff one reaches following the track from the Hollow Mountain carpark. It is about a 10 minute level walk and the diagonal line of Sandinista is obvious.
