I am heading to Greenland in August, and we are having an issue with insurance. After a few uninsured people crossing the ice cap needed rescue, Greenland has ramped up it's permit requirements. As part of this, they require a signed insurance statement. Unfortunately, all of the usual suspects we've contacted about signing the form and providing service either can't or won't (list below). One Greelandic company could do it, but they wanted over $10k, which pretty much amounts to extortion. So, does anyone have recent experience with this issue (the regulations just changed last year, and only apply to the more remote areas)? Or, can anyone recommend an insurer to contact?
Thanks, Mike
