I'm certain there is a manual on this somewhere. Maybe it's called "The Joy of Setting"? I'm looking for the book with tips on setting indoor climbing simulators.

Not in print form, but of you read every entry in this blog you will have a pretty good understanding of movement.

Cut! Sadly my flash attempt met with dismal pump-failure two bolts later.

By "climbing simulators" do you mean setting replicas of specific climbs/cruxes? Or do you just mean setting?

For climbing simulators, I don't think there's much literature out there, since so few people do it. As for setting in general, here are the two best resources I've come across (in my limited research):

Routecrafter Blog:
routecrafting.blogspot.com/

Tonde Katiyo interview:

Even if there is a book floating around somewhere, it's such a new and evolving art I wouldn't expect anything in print to be useful.

The Art of Course Setting was the book I was thinking of. Thanks Ty, but I think the link is broken.
No specific climbs in mind but when trying to set a certain grade it helps think of real climbs at that grade.
Thanks for the help Earthlings.
