| We saw A LOT of blood on a rock below the south face of cap rock yesterday. It looked pretty new (same day) as it had not yet turned brown. Any one know anything? I hope the involved party is okay. | FLAG |

| What you saw was probably the result of a bird of prey having nailed his breakfast... Hoh man now I'm getting hungry. | FLAG |

| Well there was blood on the wall next to the puddle like some one had put their hand on it. There was also a trail of blood leading to the parking lot. So unless the hawk has a driver license I am pretty sure it was a person. | FLAG |

| Well okay , you should have indicated those details in your original post. Sounds like someone perhaps got hurt and decided to self-rescue back to home or the nearest hospital. | FLAG |

| I've heard about a guy who walked 12 miles out of The Gorge of Despair after tearing his ACL and MCL on a hard first accent. He rested for a day, packing the knee with snow, before the 12 mile slog back to the Ponderosa. Then, with a week left in his climbing trip, told his buddy to go find a partner and keep climbing in the beautiful Needles while he would sit and drink the days away with gin and tonics. Now that is self rescue!! | FLAG |
