Hey, my joints on my wrists, fingers, and ankles are popping all the time. It is only painful after long, hard days of climbing and the like were they are constantly moving and being worked. It's not so much the pain, but it is ANOYING!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

15 year old's don't usually have that popping that you're describing. I hate the term "Growing Old Gracefully." There is nothing graceful about it. Now if I can only remember what I'm writing about.

They will do that as you use them more... its not (Probably) arthritis. INstead, as you work the joints hard your body creates more synovial fluid... this is the liquid that is in the joint capsule. That stuff, being in a higher amount than normal, increases the pressure. The popping is you moving the joint around and moving that stuff around.

Actually, my daughter had that popping thing going on in her feet, ankles, and knees all the time when she was 15. She still has it now that she's 19. Hasn't seemed to cause her any problems. I agree that I just think its synovial fluid popping and means nothing, but if concerned go see a doc.

I read something about this popping a while back. Nothing wrong as long as there isn't pain involved. That sure is good to know as I get this popping all the time.
