| Ok. So I posted something up a couple weeks ago about an overuse injury-type-thing in my hand which has since healed. I bouldered for the first time today in about 3 and a half weeks and my hand felt great--no problems. Here's the thing though. I was about 8 feet up and feel head over heels. As soon as I started falling I could feel how disoriented and I knew that even though there was a pad under me the fall was going to hurt. I ended falling really hard on my shoulder and it rolled under my body (kind of the same motion as when you roll your ankle). I heard a bunch of snaps and pops which I think, and am hoping, came from popping joints in my neck and back. (I didn't hurt my neck or back). anyway though, nothing seems to be really wrong with my shoulder, and no major pain. However, it just feels a little weak, like I worked it out really hard or something. Obviously, I take any injury serious and I don't plan on even walking into the gym or going to the crag until my shoulders completely healed. I'm just kind of paraniod right now and need somebody to ease my mind and tell me what they think is up with my shoulder--please :( | |
