I heard news today from NZ that a good friend of mine died yesterday while guiding on Mt Cook, when his ice tools blew/and or ice collapsed around him and he fell in the summit rocks on Mt Cook.

Rest in peace Anton.

That's very sad news; my sympathies in the loss of your friend.

You can love your rope but you can't "LOVE" your rope

Sad news John. My condolences.

It sounds like he was very careful and well respected.
