| Some of you must have met Tacos, she's been climbing all over the US & Canada for the last few years - she is the most psyched person around! I met her at the creek a couple of years ago, she was living there without a car (!) and climbing from dawn to dusk, "sooooo fun!!!!"
Tacos was in a bad car accident on June 18th (?) in which she broke her neck. She's in the hospital in Casper, WY. She needs financial help to get back to her family in Japan and to start physical therapy.
Here's the thread at Supertopo http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.html?topic_id=88991>>>>>
Here's how to help: Tacos' friend set up a facebook cause here: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/306890
It has information how to donate via paypal. You don't have to do anything with facebook -- all you have to do is
Paypal to satoko_715@hotmail.com
Please help her get home and start the rehab she needs - any little bit will help. | FLAG |

| valygrl: Paypal-ing some $...
You might repost this in the forums for the regions that she was in recently. I know the AZ folks will remember her, but we don't always look at the injuries/accidents forum.
Best to Tacos! | FLAG |

| PayPal sent. I've never met Tacos but I, like a lot of climbers, have followed her adventures through our country. I was shocked to hear of this. Our hearts and prayers are with you!! Come on MPer's time to step up and help a fellow climber get home! | FLAG |

| Holy crap--I just saw this!
This breaks my heart; she and I had been climbing just nine days prior...
Reading the thread over at ST, she's back home now, in the land of socialized modern advanced medicine (WAKE UP America!) but her considerable travel expenses were not covered by her insurance.
I'm not much for money right now, but I'm going to scrounge something up and send it her way.
She's such a great inspiration and a beautiful, fun person!
Tacos, if you ever read this, I sent you this in another medium too, but I hope for all the best for you. Speaking from the perspective of someone who's been in a wicked accident, if anyone can pull through this and make a recovery, you can! Through our friends, we can make it through so many unbelievable situations... Stay Strong!

| Thanks Justin, for bringing this back to the surface here, and for any help you can manage. She stayed at my house in May and climbed in the desert with my boyfriend a few weeks before that. We couldn't believe it when we heard the news. | FLAG |
