Pitch three

Off limits in winter and spring MORE INFO >>>

Description

A popular, aesthetic line at the left (west) end of the main wall. A hospitable intro to climbing at Ofen.

P1: 4b
P2: 5b
P3: 5c
P4: 6a
P5: 6b - intersects with the neighboring Chrüzspinne route very early on; continue up and right to stay on this route
P6: 6b - crux, no surprise, is pulling through the roof just above the belay
P7: 6a+ - nice combination of face climbing and stemming, topping out through narrow chimney

Location

The route ascends the left (west) end of the main wall. It begins at the base of a pillar, and is marked with a symbol (head with feathers).

Descent is by abseil, starting from the top-out and subsequently down the neighboring route, Chrüzspinne.

Protection

Fully bolted.
