BETA PHOTO: Straight up the chimney to the arete

Located in a National Forest Fee Area MORE INFO >>>

This route starts in a fun chimney and finishes on the arete above. The crux is in the middle of the arete with some balancy moves.

Middle of the Good Medicine Area. Just left of the very nice double finger cracks of Medicine Man.

8 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor.

Super fun lead!

Be warned: there's a huge, loose block at the clear midpoint in the route (left edge of the ledge where you stand right before heading up the tower.) Easy to avoid if you stay on your boltline, but stay alert & be sure your belayer's got a helmet on!

Think a helmet will do all that much to save you from a HUGE, LOOSE BLOCK?

I thought this route had a relatively easy, yet very fun sequence.
