Awesome climbing location for NW PA. Sport routes from 5.8 to 5.12, TR from 5.5 to 5.12. Lots of great bouldering. Many sport climbs and fixed anchors.... = )
Getting There
Follow rt 949 out of Ridgway twords Portland Mills approx 7 miles. Turn left on dirt road just before the first of two bridges. 1st bridge spans the railroad tracks and the second bridge spans the Toby Creek where it enters the Clarion River. Turn left BEFORE the bridges. Follow road for approx 1 mile to the game commission buildings. Follow the road to the right past the buildings to the parking area for the Little Toby / Clarion River Rails to Trails. Park and follow the bike trail for approx 1/2 mile to the first switchback trail you see on your left. Follow the beautiful trail up the hill for approx another 1/2 mile. The trail turns again to the left at the first large boulder you see on the left, (approx 20' high). Follow the trail for 200 yards to the beginning of the climbing area. Easier to find than the directions may indicate. Hiking time is approx 35 minutes up and 15 to 20 minutes down. The GPS coordinates are approximate.
