Description This offwidth roof starts just right of Captain Fist, in the back of the cave, taking the crack that goes out the roof. Start as far back as you can in the cave and chimney your way up to wedge your body into the offwidth roof. Place all the big stuff youve got, I mean REALLY big, and work your way out the roof jamming your whole body into it. When you get to the lip, undo your contortionist position and follow the wide crack (which gradually narrows) up to the anchors on Captain Fist. It's hard to believe this hasn't been climbed before, but stanger things have happened, especially because it's an offwidth.
Location Just right of Captain Fist, in the cave, and left of the panel and around the corner that the meanie cracks are on.
Protection HUGE CAMS! Big boys and anything else the protects a crack the width of your chest!

| I did this one in '98 or '99, but I imagine it had been done before that. Pretty fun, and a good diversion if you are up there with some relatively new climbers and need to get at least one relatively harder route in. |
