RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

Description

The Fiddler Roof climbs an awesome OW splitter crack on great varnished rock. This is one of the cleanest offwidths of its size I have climbed in RR. Great fun. At the roof traverse left into the main arch and continue to an anchor.

A 2nd pitch exists above but remains unclimbed by me. I was unaware this was a newer (or previously undocumented) route when I climbed this pitch.

Location

Between Fiddler and Overhanging Hangover. Scramble up some 3rd/4th class ramps to reach a ledge on the left side of a dark varnished pillar.

Protection

Something similar to #4, old #4, 3x #5 Camalot should be good to bypass the protection bolts.
