Anteater Rock

Description 

This rock is located south of Morning Glory Spire. The classic routes on this rock are Swiss Cheese 5.7, Scream Cheese 5.9, and Holding out For a Hero 5.10a. Most of the routes on this rock are a little runout.

Getting There 

Follow the trail south on the west side of Parking lot rock. After rounding the corner of Parking Lot, a trail brakes off to the right. This trail passes below Anteater after about 100ft.

This climb goes up the prow next to Swiss Cheese. It has a fun mix of jugs, face, and slab climbing. There is a nocticeable runout half way up the route, but the holds are good. Rap the route from chains on top. Probably one of the best 5.9 sport climbs at the City....[more]
