Animal Cracker Rock

Description 

Animal Cracker Rock is in close proximity to the popular Parking Lot Rock. Not many routes are on this rock, but one really quality route, the namesake is on the Southwest side.

Getting There 

From the main road through City of Rocks, drive to the Parking Lot Rock (near campsites 71 through 75). Park here and follow a trail leftwards out of the parking area. Pass by one rock (Window Rock) on a well established trail, and then find Animal Cracker rock on your right. This is identifiable by a thin flake which leads into a left facing dihedral offwidth crack (Animal Cracker).

Animal Cracker is the prominent flake leading into an offwidth on the Southwest side of Animal Cracker Rock. Start up the finger crack in the flake, traverse a bit right to a hand crack, then follow the flake up and right. Finally grunt up the offwidth through a roof to a set of chain anchors.
