In the area known as, "The Back Yard Boulders" (which includes Johnny Cash and Beef Butte). Approach from the Castle Rock loop trail, and follow the old road which diagonals away from Castle Rock in a northwest direction. Johnny Cash and Beef Butte are just to the left (west) of the road.
