standing here waiting for WLC formation right. Looking at "the mountain" and Im seeing a line of white from near the summit almost to the base. It looks shiny so maybe its ice. E/NE aspect. Anybody have historical or firsthand knowledge of something like that or am sleep deprived.

Don't think I've ever heard of anything there, and if there is i'd assume there would be some access issues... I'll take a swing at the acronym though. WLC (in the context of formation right) - i'm guessing warrior leader course?

The only thing I can think of that is shiny and runs from summit to base is a cable along both NORAD's northern and southern boundaries.
A buddy of mine escorted the surveyors and laborers as they cleared a patn down either side of the mountain.
The cable was installed with the aid of helicopters and high angle rope work. This cable sits about 4' off the ground suspended periodically by poles and has no trespassing signs affixed to it.

Could this be what you're seeing tenpins?

I worked a winter season in the mountain building the new command center and never saw any ice when bus-ing into the hole. Had I seen any ice at all I would've tried to bribe one of the firemen to escort me on the mountain.

hello again - yes WLC is the NCOES for junior NCOs.

I was looking at it again, it is for sure a snow gully at least, and I suppose that could account for the shine that Im seeing.

I had a thought of climbing up there but then playing confused when I was caught - Oh this isnt the way to Range 65? OOPS! Maybe a 'hey can you help me out I think Im seriously fuckin up my land nav test!'

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
