Have the bolts ever been updated on any of the Hueco tanks routes from the 90s? Specifically wondering about When Legends Die 5.13a (looks sick! and is claimed at the time to be the best 5.13a in america).
Bolts should last a long time in that environment though.

The Climbers of Hueco Tanks Coalition (CHTC) has a Memorandum of Agreement in place with the TPWD to maintain existing fixed protection within Hueco Tanks. This summer CHTC has replaced the fixed hardware (Thanks! ASCA) on the following approved routes:
Indecent Exposure Deliverance Cakewalk Cakewalk Direct Return of Cakewalk Desperado
CHTC has submitted When Legends Die along with various other routes for fixed protection replacement which requires evaluation by park staff and TPWD natural and cultural resources personnel before maintenance is approved by the park.
I remember checking in at the ranger station in the early '90's and the ranger, recognizing us as climbers immediately warned us, in his southern drawl "You boys know we don't allow no Boltin' around here!" To which my buddy promptly replied, " That's OK, we didn't bring no BOAT!" Needless to say we weren't very popular with Mr Ranger! I'll never forget that incident!
