Description

top rope face climbing in boulder area. very possible for great bouldering. It is within yellowstone and there are several bolts that have been chopped so im not sure if you are allowed to climb there or not and they just missed the bolts that I found while working there one summer. There are 3-4 routes off that top rope 5.5-5.7 i would say fun climbing if you have some free timing in the park. if you look up to the ridge to the right of the road, there looks like there is a good possiblity for some trad routes with a tough approach.

Getting There

Very short approach. From the mammoth hot springs you will continue south gaining elevation up the road you will see allot of white boulders on your right hand side and a significant drop off (drainage) with the largest mountain in sight to your left. There will be a pull out that is possibly 50yards that loops off the road and right back to it. you will know what im talking about once you get there. Good luck!
