DescriptionFree standing crag with a clean, north-facing slab. Getting ThereTake the very last left-hand turn before Movie Road hangs a 90-degree right. Drive for approximately 300 yards and park in front of a campsite with a fire pit beneath a large, overhanging slab. This is the "Meatloaf Campsite," so-named because of music video that was once shot here. Hoodgie is the free-standing Wall directly south of the campsite and the parking area. Excellent, steep face climbing at a moderate grade. NOT a sport route--only 4 bolts protect the route.Contributor's note: I have NOT led this route. It is possible to traverse right from the anchor atop Ankles Away (easy 5th class) in order to set up a top-rope. Don't miss this high quality route!...[more] Browse More Classics in CA |
